shane and john from berlin
I thought this was kind of boring but it was also good it is a good book for friends read it by yourself and coment on it by yourself.
This book was good it was interesting to see a tortoise befriend a hippopotamus. It makes you wonder about their human-like friendship. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone; it is a very short read though.
I thought this book was good because I like animals. I think that if you like animals you should read this book. It is a good book for teachers to read during a read aloud. It shows a lot about friendship. It shows a lot about how animals get along.
Chris A at Berlin says: I thought that this book was not the best but it was about true friendship with a different animal.
I really enjoyed this book because of the relationship between Owen and Mzee and I thought it was cool the way they met. I also liked this book because I love animals I also think that this is a great children's book.
I really like the book because they were best friends forever. It is a awesome book for little kids because they are really nice friends. They were so,so,so,so,cute because Owen always stay together.
i hated this book and it bored me to death.
it was very cute
the turtle and the hippo became really good friends
I thought this was absolutely wonderful. The book was kind of sad at first, but there was a happy ending. I read it twice because I thought it was so interesting.
I think this book is very, very amazing and I love the way that owen and mzee could communicate. I give it five stars.
I like this book it was a good book very short but good.
This book has a very good relationship in it. Its cool how a hippopotamus and a tortoise relate. I REALLY RECCOMEND THIS BOOK FOR ALL AGES.
I didnt like this book I think that the only reason i read this book is because it was short
This book shows a go way to have care and friendship.
This is a very cute and happy story about Owen a baby hippo and Mzee a 130 year turtle. I highly recommend this book!
Owen and Mzee are so cute together on the cover. When i got a first look at it when my librarian showed it to our class. i wanted to read this so much! But... it's not on the shelves in the library. My blog thing got in on COUNTING ON GRACE. ( it was the 18th one on there.)
PS. OMG!
Have you noticed that on the cover that the turtle ( tortoise ) is bigger than than the hippo? That tortoise is HUGE!!
this book is a great example of friendship and i love this book because Owen and Mzee are so cute and even though they are different, they are kind to each other.
I've read this book so many times and I think it is an amazing book about friendship and I think that it deserves the DCF award!
this book totally deserves all the awards it can get because it shows love and compassion. the hippo is very lovely and the tortise does have quite a lovely caring mind
i think they look cute on the cover, but the book was a reading level for a baby.
OMG! This book rocked. I feel bad that the turtle is so old and it's lifespan is ebbing away. I could totally feel their emotions when they were happy. ):. this book was awesome!!!!!!!!!! #1!
The reson I like this book is because I love animals.I thot this book shows a lot about animals and shows every butty needs a fried.
This book shows that these 2 animals, even though they are the complete opposite of the other, can get along fine, even be best friends! If only that was true with all humans... If a tortoise and a hippopotamus can become friends, maybe in the future we'll be reading about a tiger and a pig that can't be separated. Just throwing it out there. This story was a bit boring for a while, but the message it gave made it worth reading. If you really liked this, then you should definitely read the sequel, Owen & Mzee: The Language of Friendship, just to get updated.
I loved this book! It shows that things can be friends even though they are competly different.
When my techer first started to read the book aloud I thought it was going to be really borring. But I was prooved wrong when she finished it. It is defanetly one of the books I'm thinking about voting for.
this book was cute...for a little kid. I do not know why this is a DCF book. Resd this book so...that you can comment to me. So address your comment with *alli*...
