Grades 6 and up.
Each year kids in Vermont, grades 4 to 8, are encouraged to read books from a list of 30 titles. In April, kids throughout Vermont vote on their favorite title, & the book that receives the most votes is the winner of the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Book Award. Here follows the list for 2007/08. when i read houdini i loved it! i found myself watching the great houdini jump from the bridge and get arrested because he walked on the grass. irronict huh!? great book, a heck of a page turner.
When I found myself reading about where no handcuffs and hand restraints could hold houdini I was amazed becusae not your average everyday magicians can excape out of about five different types of handcuffs so I would adivise to anyone that is reading this you must read houdini you absolutly read it
the book is ok
Chris A of Berlin says: This book was very interesting and you kept on asking how he did that. My favorite part was when he escaped from so many handcuffs. What was spoky was that he died on halloween night. I'd give this book 6 stars (********)
This book is extremely addictive; a real page turner. I strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in Houdini(or not), especialy 5th & 6th graders.
If your a magican you have to read this book. You will love his escapes he gets out of. I really reccomend this book for all ages.
THIS BOOK IS AWESOME!
I loved this book it was a great biography. I liked how it told all about his life experiences. I didn't like how it wasn't very dicriptive. It didn't tell about his early life before he became a magic man very much.
I have not read this before but my family talks about what he did
and I have been intrested in him.
I enjoyed this book. I got a real sense of the personality of Houdini from this book. It was cool!
