Each year kids in Vermont, grades 4 to 8, are encouraged to read books from a list of 30 titles. In April, kids throughout Vermont vote on their favorite title, & the book that receives the most votes is the winner of the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Book Award. Here follows the list for 2007/08. Read some or read them all. Post your thoughts here!

i haven't read it yet, but my librarian told me it was about World War 1
You really need to read this because it's really very good. I cannot imagine myself being in Hattie's position, having enough strength and courage to move out west all by myself and settle the land. And the early settlers really did do this! Try it, you'll like it!!
This book has an amazing atory and is a graet read. I definitly would say "READ IT NOW"
It rocks the world!!
